Dtonic selected for Smart City Data Hub Project in Chungbuk

Dtonic has been selected to build a Smart City Data Hub in Chungcheongbuk-do (Chungbuk), a region in central South Korea, to address public health and disaster management challenges. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport’s national Smart City Data Hub distribution project.

Chungbuk-style Smart City Data Hub for the Safety and Happiness of the Citizens

The Chungbuk Smart City Data Hub project aims to integrate and manage both public and private data from across the region. The goal is to improve the efficiency of public healthcare services and urban disaster management, contributing to enhanced city safety.

Dtonic will lead two key demonstration tasks as part of this project:

  1. Emergency Medical Safety Map Service:
This service will gather real-time transportation and wait time data to address the region's challenges in healthcare accessibility, particularly in rural and medically underserved areas.

  2. Urban Flood Prediction and Analysis Service:
This service will provide advanced flood prediction capabilities to better manage and prevent disaster situations, addressing the frequent flooding issues in the region.

Through this project, Dtonic plans to expand its Smart City Data Hub solutions across South Korea, applying its expertise in public healthcare and disaster management to urban safety and broader smart city challenges.

"The solution to urban healthcare and disaster management depends on how quickly and accurately we can analyze and utilize urban data. This project will not only introduce new technology but will serve as a critical infrastructure to improve the quality of life for Chungbuk residents. Dtonic is committed to using its core technologies to address various urban issues and improve citizen safety and convenience.” - CEO, Yong Joo Jun
