Dtonic to Launch Smart Parking Pilot in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Dtonic has been selected by South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) as one of the leading companies participating in the 2025 K-City Network global smart city initiative. Among six international pilot sites chosen this year, Dtonic will be carrying out its Edge-computing and AI-based smart parking pilot in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The K-City Network program, launched in 2020, supports global cities in developing smart city strategies while promoting the overseas expansion of Korean smart city technologies. This year’s selection focused on pilot projects that apply Korean technologies in real urban settings overseas, with the goal of creating locally customized smart services.

In Kuala Lumpur, Dtonic will implement of a smart parking system powered by Edge-computing and Artificial Intelligence. By integrating real-time data and intelligent analysis, the smart parking system enables users to easily view available parking spaces in busy city areas. This pilot project is being carried out with the support of Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and aims to alleviate urban congestion while supporting more efficient and user-friendly mobility experiences.
